Slim chocolate cake with orange zest (without butter)

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g sugar
  • 60 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 30 g cocoa
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 1 orange(s), untreated, zest
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling
  • Fat for the mold
  • Flour for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the eggs with the sugar until frothy. Combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt with the cocoa powder and fold into the egg mixture. Then stir in the quark and orange zest and pour into a greased and floured 24 cm springform pan. Bake in a preheated oven on the second rack from the bottom at 200°C for approximately 20-25 minutes. Let the cake cool and dust with powdered sugar, if desired. A quark and vanilla yogurt spread goes very well with this cake.
