Snow White Flammeri

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 6 tbsp water, cold
  • 75 g sugar
  • 5 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • 70 g cornstarch
  • 3 egg whites

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

I got the recipe from my grandma

Whisk the egg whites until stiff and refrigerate. Bring the milk, bitter almond flavoring, and sugar to a boil. Meanwhile, mix the cornstarch with the cold water and add to the boiling liquid to thicken it. Bring the Flammeri to a boil briefly, then let it cool. While it’s cooling, whisk frequently to prevent a skin from forming. Once the Flammeri has cooled, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
