Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 kg schnitzel meat (or roast salmon)
  • 1 pack of salami, sliced
  • 1 jar of lecho
  • 2 small cans of tomato paste
  • 4 apples (Granny Smith)
  • 6 large onions
  • 6 gherkins
  • 2 liters of meat broth, clear
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 m.-large bay leaf
  • 6 grains of allspice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the meat into medium-sized pieces and brown in a large pot or roasting pan. Chop the salami into small pieces and add it to the meat, frying briefly. When all the meat is nicely browned, remove it. Fry the sliced ​​onions. When the onions are translucent, add the diced apples. After a few minutes, add the meat. Now add the lecsó, diced cucumbers, broth, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer gently over low heat for 1 to 1.5 hours. Adjust seasoning at the end, if desired.
