Sour cherries in Amaretto

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g sour cherries
  • 400 g rock sugar, white
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bottle of Amaretto

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 60 days; Total time approx. 60 days 20 minutes

Wash and pit the cherries, then place them in a large preserving jar with the remaining ingredients and cover. Let stand for 2 months, stirring occasionally. Then pour the cherries and liquid into jam jars. The cherries are delicious with ice cream, vanilla pudding, waffles, etc. You can also serve the liquid as a liqueur at parties, always adding a cherry to the jar.
