Sour cherries in Amaretto

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g sour cherries
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 piece(s) anise (star anise)
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated
  • 400 g sugar (white rock candy)
  • 1 bottle of Amaretto

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash the cherries, drain them, and trim the stems in half. Then, mix the cherries with the rock candy in a large jar. Add the cinnamon stick, zest, lemon juice, and star anise. Seal the jar and refrigerate. Let it steep for 3-4 weeks.
