Sour Cream Apple Pie

The perfect sour cream apple pie recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the dough:

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 25 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 ml Warm milk
  • 50 g Butter

For covering:

  • 4 Apples
  • 1 cups Sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Sugar

For the dough:

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl, add the dry yeast and mix.
  2. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, egg, milk and butter and knead.
  3. Cover the dough and keep it warm for about 30 minutes until it has visibly enlarged.
  4. Knead the dough well again on the work surface, then roll it out in a greased springform pan.

For covering:

  1. Peel and core the apples and cut into wedges. Then put on top of the dough.
  2. Bake at 180 degrees top and bottom heat for about 25 minutes.
  3. Mix the sour cream with the sugar and spread on the still warm cake.
