Sour eggs in dark sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 eggs
  • 100 g flour
  • 100 g bacon, streaky
  • 1 liter of water
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp, leveled salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Toast the flour in a pan until browned. Stir together the water, sugar, vinegar, salt, and toasted flour in a bowl (preferably with a whisk to avoid lumps). Fry the bacon in a saucepan and add the liquid. Let it boil briefly. Add the raw eggs to the sauce. Simmer everything over low heat until the eggs are set. If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it with a little water. The flavor should be sweet and sour. Boiled potatoes go best with this sauce.
