Soy shreds with soy cream sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g soy cubes or soy shreds
  • 300 ml vegetable stock
  • 150 ml soy cream (Soy Cream Cuisine)
  • 100 ml soy milk (soy drink)
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Let the soy cubes swell in the hot vegetable broth for 15 minutes. Then drain. Meanwhile, melt the margarine in a small saucepan, stir in the flour, and make a roux. Add the soy cream and soy milk. If the sauce is too thick, add more water to taste. Season to taste and let simmer a little longer. Serve the soy cubes with the sauce. A mixed salad, vegan potato dumplings, or rice are great as a side dish.
