Spaghetti with oil and onion

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300g spaghetti
  • 75 ml olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the garlic, halve it, and slice it thinly. Add the oil and garlic to a pan. Do not turn on the heat, as the garlic needs to flavor the oil first. Meanwhile, bring the water for the spaghetti to a boil, season well with salt, and chop the parsley. When the water is boiling, add the spaghetti and then heat the pan over medium heat. When the garlic is lightly browned, add the parsley. Two minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the spaghetti directly from the pot to the pan and turn off the heat. Add a little of the pasta water and stir until everything is combined and sticks nicely to the pasta. Season with salt and pepper and serve. Tip: Be sure to add the spaghetti to the pan before the end of the cooking time, as it will continue to cook there and will otherwise be overcooked.
