Spaghetti with Olives

The perfect spaghetti with olives recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 small Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 0,5 bunch Chopped basil
  • 1 Can Peeled tomatoes
  • 200 g Date tomatoes
  • 1 El Olive oil
  • 1 El Pickled olives, pitted
  • Salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 500 g Spaghetti
  • 60 g Freshly grated Parmesan
  1. Peel the onions and garlic and dice or chop. Pluck the basil leaves, coarsely cut half.
  2. Heat the oil in a saucepan, sauté the onions and garlic in it. Add the date tomatoes and top up with the peeled tomatoes. Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes, season with salt, pepper and sugar. Add the basil and olives to the sauce.
  3. In the meantime, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water according to the instructions on the packet. Drain the pasta and mix with the tomato sauce. Season the pasta with salt and pepper and serve sprinkled with freshly grated cheese and the remaining basil leaves.
