Spaghetti with tuna, mushrooms and cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 60 g butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic (crushed)
  • 125 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 250 ml cream
  • 1 can of tuna (drained and shredded)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp parsley (freshly chopped)
  • 500 g pasta (spaghetti)
  • Sauce thickener (white)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cook spaghetti as usual. Meanwhile, heat the butter and oil in a large pan. Sauté the onion and garlic over low heat until softened. Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook for 2 minutes. Pour in the cream and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and add the sauce thickener until the sauce thickens. Gently heat the tuna, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper in the pan, stirring constantly. Pour the sauce over the pasta and serve hot on warmed plates. Variation: Canned salmon can be used instead of tuna. The cream can also be replaced with milk. Preparation time: 10 minutes, Cooking time: 15 minutes
