  • 500 g flour
  • Salt
  • 6 eggs (4 – 6)
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • applesauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Combine flour and salt. Add eggs, oil, and lukewarm water and mix everything into a smooth, viscous dough. Cover the dough and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Then, using a spaetzle grater or a spatula and a wooden board, drop small, long pieces of dough into boiling salted water. When the spaetzle float to the top, scoop them out with a slotted spoon and let them drain. Tip from Sieglinde Lentes: Enjoy the spaetzle with applesauce.
