Spelled – Oatmeal – Bread

The perfect spelled – oatmeal – bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 cube Yeast
  • 2 tbsp Raw cane sugar
  • 300 ml Lukewarm water
  • 200 g Spelled flour
  • **************
  • 400 g Roasted oatmeal
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Bread spice mix
  • 2 handful Pumpkin seeds
  1. Mix the first 4 ingredients together, dissolve the yeast in the water, add the sugar, stir everything well and then add the flour and stir, let this dough rest for about 45 minutes until it bubbles.
  2. Roast the 400 g oat flakes in a pan (without fat) and allow to cool again.
  3. After the dough is left to rest, add the roasted oat flakes, salt, bread spices and pumpkin seeds and knead well, adding a little water if necessary. Let the dough rise again for about 45 minutes.
  4. Then knead again and put in a mold, cut into it with a knife and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and then bake at 190 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Place a small bowl of water in the oven during the baking process.
  6. Better to bring the warm bread to safety 🙂 or simply enjoy it with butter 🙂
