Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g Flour (wholemeal spelled flour)
- 1 pkt. yeast (dry yeast or 1 cube fresh)
- 1 tsp honey
- 300 ml milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter
- some milk
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes
Place the flour in a bowl and mix with the dry yeast. If using fresh yeast, mix it with a little lukewarm milk, honey, and a little flour and let it rise. Then mix all ingredients together until a smooth dough forms. Let it rise for about 40 minutes at room temperature, knead thoroughly, and form about 20 rolls. Let them rise for another 30 minutes and then brush with lukewarm milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 25 minutes. Variation: Herbs, toasted onions, nuts, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, linseed, etc. can also be added to the dough, or the surface can be topped with cheese.
