Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 pack of yeast
  • 125 ml milk (1.5% fat), lukewarm
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 70 g sesame seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

makes 16 rolls

Toast half of the sesame seeds in a dry pan until they smell pleasant. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. For the roll dough, combine all the ingredients and the toasted sesame seeds and make a yeast dough using a mixer or by hand. Let the dough rise in the oven at 50°C for about 30 minutes. Then knead thoroughly again and divide the dough into 16 equal pieces. Shape these into balls and roll them on the remaining sesame seeds. Bake the rolls at 180°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
