Spicy Hawaiian pasta bake

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pasta (maccheroni), or pasta of your choice
  • 1 can pineapple
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 100 g ham, diced
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 ml milk
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp processed cheese
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • ½ cup crème fraîche
  • 300 g cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp meat broth
  • 2 tsp herbs, Italian

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Sauté the ham, onions, and garlic in plenty of butter. Then add the cream, milk, processed cheese, and a little of the pineapple juice, and bring to a boil. Now add the herbs, stock, and crème fraîche, bring to a boil briefly, and season with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Mix the pasta and sauce well in a casserole dish and bake for about 20 minutes at 175°C (fan oven) on the middle rack. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake for another 20 minutes.
