Spicy potato cubes from the tray

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 350 g potatoes, diced
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • Salt and pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Wash and dice the potatoes (unpeeled), then place them in a freezer bag. Add the olive oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Seal the freezer bag and shake vigorously to ensure all the ingredients are well mixed. Empty the potatoes from the bag onto the baking sheet and spread them out well. Roast in the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. When the potatoes are tender, season lightly with salt and serve. The diced potatoes make a great side dish with grilled food. Tip: Check the potatoes are tender after about 15 minutes to prevent them from becoming too dry. Increase or decrease the amount of seasoning as desired; it’s recommended to taste the mixture before baking.
