Spicy ribs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 ½ cm ginger, chopped
  • 1 chili pepper(s), pitted (alternatively dried chili)
  • 3 tbsp lime juice, alternatively lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce, dark
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 kg pork ribs, separated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Ideal for the grill

Combine all ingredients except the ribs in a bowl and blend to a marinade using a hand blender or mixer. Wash and dry the ribs. Place them in a hot, deep pot and pour the marinade over them. Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring regularly. If the mixture becomes too dry, add a little more water. Drain the ribs and reserve the sauce. Grill the ribs over medium heat, brushing them regularly with the marinade. The ribs are ideal when they are nicely golden brown and crispy.
