Spicy spaghetti with shrimp

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • salt water
  • 1 ½ tsp sambal oelek
  • 2 bell peppers, red, diced
  • 1 pack of frozen shrimp
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 4 tomatoes, diced
  • 300 ml vegetable stock
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 garlic clove(s), squeezed
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

A meal for cold days, this dish will surely warm you up!

Bring the pasta water to a boil with salt and cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan. Sauté the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and sambal oelek in the hot oil for 3 minutes. Add the shrimp and tomatoes and continue sautéing. After another 3 minutes, deglaze with the vegetable stock and top with cream cheese. Continue simmering over low heat until the noodles are tender. Toss the noodles with the sauce and let them simmer on the warm stovetop for a few more minutes.
