Spicy Tuna Cake

The perfect spicy tuna cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 cans Tuna
  • 2 Red onions
  • 2 Spring onions
  • 100 g Frozen peas
  • 150 g Grated Emmental
  • 1 Egg
  • 2,5 Pointed peppers
  • 1 Small clove of garlic
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • Chilli, pepper, salt
  • 300 g Flour
  • 200 g Quark
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Iodized salt for the dough
  • 6 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 6 tbsp Milk
  1. Combine flour, quark, baking powder, iodized salt, sunflower oil, milk and use the mixer; then mix / knead with your hands.

  1. Shape the ball and roll it out; measure with a cake form and pierce it. Do not throw away the edges! These are still used. Form small “sausages” out of them and press them onto the baking ring as the edge and then move the edge.
  1. Sweat the red onions in oil (spring onions are added to the filling before they are fried!) Steam the red onions until translucent, add the garlic and then leave to cool.
  1. Mix the sour cream, egg, chilli, pepper and salt. Next, add the cheese, peas, tuna, diced peppers and spring onions. Now add the steamed onions and mix everything very well!
  1. Spread the finished mixture on the cake base and place in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. Enjoy your meal! ! 🙂
