Spinach sauce (for pasta)

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 packs of creamed spinach, frozen
  • 1 pack of processed cheese, low-fat (approx. 10%)
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly spice mix (vegetable)
  • Milk, low-fat
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

also suitable for low fat

Peel the onions and garlic. Finely dice the onions and fry in olive oil until translucent. Press the garlic into the onions (using a garlic press) and fry briefly. Then add the creamed spinach, heat until hot, stir the processed cheese into the spinach, and let it melt. It will now be quite thick. Now stir in enough milk until the desired consistency is reached. Season with spices. Bring to a boil briefly, and you’re done. This recipe also works with sweet cream instead of milk and with full-fat processed cheese, but this will, of course, have more calories and fat points.
