Sponge Cake – Palette (Triple Orange)

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 190 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 80g Grand Marnier
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pt. orange(s) – peel, grated
  • 200 g flour, ( 405 )
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 shot of Grand Marnier for glaze
  • 70 g icing sugar for icing

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest, and Grand Marnier until fluffy. Sift together the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Stir in the eggs and flour alternately on speed 1. Line a 25/10/7 cm loaf pan with greaseproof paper. Pour in the mixture and bake at approximately 160°C for 45 minutes. When the cake develops a small skin (after approximately 10 minutes), carefully score it with a sharp knife to allow it to rise evenly. While still warm, glaze with Grand Marnier icing.
