Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g quark
  • 400 g cream cheese
  • 2 large onions
  • 6 large garlic cloves
  • 1 Pepper, hot
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • 150 g butter

vegetarian, Hessian specialty like Obatzter, but without Camembert

In a large bowl, add the quark and cream cheese. Then finely chop the onions and garlic. Finely chop the peppers. Add the butter and seasonings to the bowl. Add all the other ingredients and mix everything together. Season the Spundekäs cheese to taste later. This spread goes well with pretzels or crusty baguette.
