Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 2 packets of yeast (dry yeast)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 300 ml milk (approx.)
- 2 tsp margarine (Rama)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 450 ml milk
- 1 tsp margarine (Rama)
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Whisk together 500g of flour, dry yeast, and salt. Heat approximately 300ml of milk with 2 teaspoons of Rama and 2 teaspoons of sugar (until the Rama has melted) and add it along with the eggs. (The batter should not be too runny or too dry.) Mix everything with a wooden spoon and beat until smooth. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes (until it has roughly doubled in size). Then, in a deep pan, heat 450ml of milk, 1 teaspoon of Rama, and 2 teaspoons of sugar (do not boil!). Form steamed dumplings and place them in the warmed milk. Then, with the lid closed, let them rise for another 15 minutes. Bring everything to a boil until the milk splashes over the steamed dumplings (do not remove the lid!). Once boiling, reduce the heat to half and simmer for about 20 minutes.
