Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 15 g butter
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of raw ham
  • 3 gherkins
  • 4 cocktail tomatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • Grated cheese (optional)

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Home cooking

Lightly brown the butter in a pan, add the bread slices, and fry briefly on both sides. Alternatively, simply brush the bread slices with the softened butter. Fry the ham slices in a nonstick pan without fat until crispy. Halve or slice the tomatoes and gherkins, depending on their size. Fry the eggs until fried, seasoning with salt and pepper. Optionally, you can also top with some grated cheese. Top the toasted bread slices with the ham, scatter the gherkins and tomatoes on top, and place the fried eggs on top. Serve immediately!
