Strawberry ice cream

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g strawberries, fresh
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • some lemon balm

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 6 hours 15 minutes

Wash and puree the strawberries. Whip the cream until stiff and fold it into the strawberry puree. Stir in the milk, lemon juice, and sugar. Pour the cream into a chilled ice cream maker and let it churn for about 30 minutes while it chills. Ladle the finished ice cream into bowls and garnish each with a lemon balm leaf. The ice cream tastes best when the strawberries are fresh and very aromatic.
