Strawberry / Lime Ice Cream …
The perfect strawberry / lime ice cream … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Strawberry / lime ice cream
- 1 Fresh lime
- 200 g Creme fraiche Cheese
- 1 Teaspoon (level) Lemon peel flavor
- 50 g Powdered sugar
- 40 Milliliters Maple syrup
- 200 g Whipped cream
- 1 packet Cream stiffener
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 100 g Fresh strawberries
- 25 g Powdered sugar
Marinated strawberries
- 200 g Fresh strawberries
- 2 Centiliters Orange liqueur
- 1 tablespoon Summer blossom honey
- 1 Splash Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar
Serving
- Lemon balm leaves
- Fresh strawberries
- Whipped cream
- Powdered sugar
Strawberry / lime ice cream
- Squeeze the lime. Rub the peel of an untreated lime or stir together the lemon peel aroma, lime juice and crème fraîche. Stir in maple syrup. Sift the powdered sugar over it and stir in as well.
- Whip the cream with the cream stabilizer and vanilla sugar until stiff and fold in.
- Divide the crowd. Chill one half. With the other half, half silicone molds, for me it was a little more ;-), fill and put in the freezer.
- Wash, clean and chop the strawberries. Puree together with the powdered sugar. Stir into the cold mass. Fill silicone molds with it and leave to freeze for 3 hours.
Marinated strawberries
- Wash, clean and chop the strawberries. Mix the orange liqueur with honey, lemon juice and powdered sugar. Mix with the strawberries and let it steep a little.
Serving
- Press the ice cream out of the mold, let it thaw a little. Arrange on dessert plates with the marinated strawberries. Garnish with strawberries, lemon balm, cream and powdered sugar … or as the mood takes you.
