- 1000 g Pineapple fresh, pulp
- 1000 g Fresh strawberries
- 2 packet Preserving sugar 2: 1
- 5 cl Gin
- Chilli from the mill
- 1 Bit Fresh ginger
- Peel the pineapple and cut into large pieces. Wash the strawberries, remove the stem and cut in half. Cut the piece of ginger into small cubes.
- Put the pineapple and pieces of ginger in a large saucepan and gently cook the fruit over a medium heat. Then add the strawberries and let them simmer too. Now add some chilli. Now chop up the fruit with the hand blender, but the pieces of fruit should still be preserved.
- Now add the preserving sugar and boil the whole thing again for a good 5 minutes so that the sugar dissolves.
- In the meantime, prepare the glasses. (Rinse with hot water) Now take a gel sample and test whether the consistency is OK.
- Now pour the hot jam into the jars. Then turn it upside down for about 20 minutes. Put the jam in the cool place. Lasts for about 1 year.
