Strawberry sauce with pepper

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1,000 g strawberries
  • 10 peppercorns, red
  • 10 green peppercorns
  • 3 tbsp oil (rapeseed oil)
  • 1 pinch of pepper (herb pepper)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

With steaks, but also with ice cream

Wash and hull the fresh strawberries. Puree half of the strawberries and cut the other half into smaller pieces. Heat the oil in a pan, briefly sauté the peppercorns, and add the strawberry pieces. Sauté them. Pour the pureed strawberries over the mixture and bring to a boil briefly. Season with herb pepper to taste. Serve the sauce with a fried steak. It also tastes great with vanilla ice cream.
