Strawberry Sour Cream Mousse

The perfect strawberry sour cream mousse recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 350 g Fresh strawberries
  • 3 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 1 shot Cointreau
  • 400 g Sour cream
  • 4 leaf Gelatin
  • 200 g Cream
  1. Clean and quarter the strawberries. Add the powdered sugar and the Cointreau and puree finely with the magic wand. Add the sour cream and stir everything until smooth. Soak the gelatine in cold water.
  2. Put some of the strawberry sour cream in a saucepan and heat it slightly and then dissolve the squeezed out gelatine leaves in it and remove the saucepan immediately from the stove and now add the remaining strawberry sour cream and mix everything very well. Let cool down. In the meantime, whip the cream until it is semi-stiff.
  3. When the strawberry sour cream mass begins to set, fold in the cream. To do this, first add a third of the whipped cream and stir in and then add the remaining cream and carefully fold in. Fill everything into dessert glasses and let sit in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Then decorate and you’re done.
