Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 thick Bockwurst
- 500 g Gouda in one piece
- 24 slices of bacon
- e.g. mustard, hot

Cut the frankfurters lengthwise and spread the mustard on both sausage halves. Cut approximately 1 cm thick slices of Gouda cheese and place each between two sausage halves. Wrap each sausage in the middle and at each end with a slice of bacon to hold them together. Secure the bacon with toothpicks. Place the sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 10-15 minutes, until golden brown. This pairs well with potato or pasta salad.
