diverse and simple

Whether for dinner, between meals, or as a snack at a party, pizza rolls are always a hit. This is mainly due to their ease of preparation, low cost, and the sheer variety they offer. I’ve also made a perfect dip to go with these pizza rolls! Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat). Then roll out the pizza dough (whether store-bought or homemade) on a baking sheet. Cut the dough crosswise into three equal-sized strips. Spread a thin layer of processed cheese on the left half of each strip and season lightly with pepper. Slice the ham and place it on top of the processed cheese. Spread the grated Gouda cheese over the entire surface, leaving just a 1 cm border. Sprinkle with oregano. Starting at the long side of the dough, roll up the dough, using the remaining edge to seal the rolls tightly. Finally, cut into equal-sized slices as desired. Bake these at 200°C (400°F) for about 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the dip. Simply thinly slice the spring onions, mix with 500g of low-fat quark, add the garlic, and season with salt. The consistency of the quark can be easily adjusted with natural yogurt. These pizza rolls are my favorite, but other great combinations include bacon/goat cheese, gyro/feta, and even vegetarian versions with spinach/feta or mushrooms/red onions/Gouda.
