Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 6 eggs
- 100 g sugar
- ½ bar of dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp rum
- eggnog
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff and stir in 50g of sugar. Beat the egg yolks and 50g of sugar until fluffy. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler and let cool slightly. Stir into the egg yolks. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the batter into a greased springform pan and bake at 175°C for 25-30 minutes. (It will rise a lot but then shrink back, don’t be alarmed!). Remove the cake from the oven and let cool. Soak in 3-4 tablespoons of rum. Whip 2 cups of cream until stiff and pour over the cake. Decorate with advocaat and chocolate shavings. Tastes delicious, requires only a few ingredients, and is super quick!
