Stuffed bread – a hit at parties!
Prepare the dough for the ciabatta bread according to the instructions and then roll it out into a sausage about 20 cm wide, 2 cm thick, and as long as the dough allows. Then you start filling the dough with whatever you have in the fridge: First, I place 4-5 hard-boiled (and peeled!) eggs in the center of the dough, then I evenly distribute olives, cooked and/or raw ham, small mini salami, and sun-dried tomatoes, and then I season the whole thing with pepper and herbs to taste. Then I spread grated cheese on the filling—sometimes Gouda, sometimes Parmesan—and fold first one side, then the other over the filling. To save space, I then roll the sausage into a circle and place it on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake according to the instructions on the ciabatta package! You’ll see, this bread is a huge hit!
