Swabian apple bread

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 760 g apples
  • 250 g sugar
  • 150 g almond(s), coarsely chopped
  • 250 g sultanas
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp clove(s), ground
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cl schnapps (fruit water)
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 500 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 30 minutes

Coarsely grate the apples and let them sit with the sugar for 12 hours. Then knead in the remaining ingredients. Grease two Stollen molds well and pour in the dough. Bake for 1 hour at 200 degrees Celsius. Let rest for 4-5 days.
