Sweet: Dominoes

The perfect sweet: dominoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

* for the dough

  • 125 g Flour
  • 50 g Ground almonds
  • 1 tsp Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Christmas spice … RZ in my KB
  • Alternatively gingerbread spice
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 125 g Beet syrup

* also

  • 200 g Jam jelly jams
  • … Geschmack nach Wunsch
  • 2 leaf Gelatin
  • 150 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 300 g Dark couverture
  • 15 g Coconut oil
  1. Mix the flour, almonds, cocoa, spices and baking powder for the dough. Add the syrup and mix everything together.
  2. Put the dough in a mini cake tin (26x16cm) and bake at 180 ° C for about 18-20 minutes. Then let it cool down.
  3. Soak gelatine in cold water. Heat the jam (I used homemade orange jam, see below), dissolve the soaked gelatine in it. Let cool down. Then spread the jam on the dough. Cover and let set in the refrigerator.
  4. Knead the marzipan with the powdered sugar, roll out to the size of the dough and then place on the jam.
  5. Now cut into cubes approx. 2.5×2.5cm.
  6. Heat the couverture together with the coconut oil over a hot water bath. Add the cubes one at a time so that they are covered on all sides with couverture, remove with a praline fork or similar, allow to drain and then place on sandwich or baking paper.
  7. Once solidified, place in a tightly closed container and store in the refrigerator or in a cool place.
  8. RECIPES from my cookbook: ….. Spices: Christmas mixture ….. Preserving: orange jam … ala grandma …..
