Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta
  • 5 eggs
  • 175 g cane sugar, or honey
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 6 apples
  • Cinnamon powder
  • e.g. butter
  • breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

freshly prepared or for leftovers

Cook the pasta al dente and then drizzle with a little melted butter to prevent it from sticking together. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until frothy, then stir in the quark and beat in the beaten egg whites. Peel and core the apples, then slice or grate them, if desired, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Mix the pasta, apple pieces, and quark mixture thoroughly and transfer to a buttered and crumbled baking dish. Bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) or 175°C (convection oven) for about 30-35 minutes.
