Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 eggs
  • 250 ml oil, neutral
  • 250 g yogurt
  • 250 g semolina
  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar

Very high in calories!!!

Preheat oven to 180°C. Mix eggs, sugar, and oil well. Then stir in the semolina, yogurt, flour, baking powder, and a small pinch of salt, one after the other. Pour the batter onto a baking sheet or into a square baking pan (lined with baking paper) and smooth it out. Place in the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool. For the syrup, squeeze the lemon and heat it in a saucepan with the water and sugar. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved and a good syrup forms. If necessary, add a little more sugar. Spread the syrup evenly over the semolina cake. Very important: The cake must be cold and the syrup warm! Then cut the cake into cubes or diamond shapes.
