Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 125 g sugar
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 200 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 apples (preferably Elstar)
- 2 handfuls of hazelnuts, chopped

Wash, peel, core, and cut the apples into small pieces. Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, flour, apples, and hazelnuts one at a time. Pour about a ladleful of batter into the waffle iron and bake. The waffles taste best warm and dusted with powdered sugar. I ate mine later, though, and they were still very fresh and moist!
