Swiss Chard and Potato Soup

The perfect swiss chard and potato soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 700 g Potatoes
  • 800 g Swiss chard
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 500 ml Mild vegetable broth
  • 500 g Unsweetened soy yogurt
  • 0,5 Tl Turmeric
  • 0,125 Tl Cayenne pepper
  1. Chop the chard stalks and leaves separately Finely chop the onion and garlic. Dice the potatoes.
  2. Steam the onion and garlic in a little oil for 5 minutes. Add the chard stalks and cook for another 3 minutes.
  3. Pour in the stock, add the turmeric and add the potatoes. Simmer for about 8 minutes. Add the chard greens to the soup and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add yoghurt to the soup and heat briefly, do not boil any more! Season to taste with cayenne pepper.
