Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of frozen puff pastry (450 g)
  • 250 g veal roast, from the butcher
  • 200 g ham, cooked, cut into fine cubes
  • 200 g cheese, shaved (Gouda)
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup cream
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Brätstrudel – easy and quick, even for guests

Sauté the onions and parsley in a little butter. Defrost the puff pastry according to the instructions, place the sheets side by side, and roll out into a rectangle. Spread the sausage meat on top, then arrange the onions, parsley, ham, and cheese on top. Fold in the ends and roll up the puff pastry. Whisk the cream and egg yolk together and brush the dough. Bake at 180°C for about 50 minutes. Serve with a green salad and white bread. It’s a different treat for guests, and it’s quick and easy to make.
