Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g sugar
  • 400 ml water
  • 1 tbsp clove(s), whole
  • 1 tbsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp anise
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, walnut-sized

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Bring the sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat. Peel and dice the ginger, finely chop the other spices, and stir everything into the sugar water. Reduce to a syrupy consistency over low heat for about 15 minutes. Once cooled, strain the syrup into a sealable bottle.
