The Doctor Told About the Insidious Danger of Apricots

Do not eat apricots with other berries or fruits. Endocrinologist and nutritionist Tetiana Bocharova told us how many apricots we can eat a day without harming our health, and also warned those who should exclude apricots from their summer diet.

“You can’t eat apricots on an empty stomach – it can lead to digestive problems, especially when you are diagnosed with gastritis (even in remission), ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, or pancreatitis. If you have an exacerbation of these diseases, it is better to give up apricots,” the doctor said.

According to Bocharova, even in absolutely healthy people, apricots can cause diarrhea or fermentation, and if you eat more than you should, you will have the effect of a laxative.

The maximum that the body can process without harm to health is up to 200-300 grams per day. It should be borne in mind that when eating apricots in this amount, you do not need to eat them with other berries or fruits.

“Dried apricots, or dried apricots, are also not recommended for those who have problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Dried apricots contain a lot of sugars, which, in combination with dietary fiber, cause flatulence,” the nutritionist said.
