The lightest cooking cheese in the world

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g cheese (Limburger)
  • 200 g processed cheese
  • 200 g cheese (Harzer Handkäse, the round thick slices)
  • 200 ml milk
  • possibly caraway

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Simply combine all the ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil until everything becomes a liquid mixture. Then blend with a hand mixer. Let cool. If you like, you can also refine the cooked cheese with caraway seeds. If you don’t have a blender, trim off the edges of the Limburger cheese beforehand, as they won’t dissolve. (But it tastes delicious blended with a hand mixer.) Very low in calories, as there’s no cream (hence the processed cheese) or butter (the cheese has plenty of fat).
