Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter, liquid
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • some mineral water
  • Clarified butter or oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Sift flour into a bowl and mix with the dry yeast. Combine the salt with 1-3 tablespoons of sugar, butter, and eggs. Pour this mixture over the flour and mix roughly. Gradually add the lukewarm milk and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until the dough bubbles. Cover the bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Add a little mineral water if needed. Heat a little oil or clarified butter, pour in some batter, and bake. Enjoy with maple syrup, applesauce, sugar, and cinnamon, or compote.
