Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 5 slices of wholemeal toast or toasted bread
- 5 pineapple slices, fresh or from the can
- 5 slices of cooked ham
- 5 slices of cheese, e.g. raclette or sandwich cheese
- 200 g grated cheese, e.g. mozzarella or Emmental
- 200 g crème fraîche, alternatively sour cream or sour cream
- some butter
- salt and pepper
- oregano
- some fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Place the slices of toast in the toaster and bake until golden brown. Then let them cool briefly and brush with a little butter. Mix the crème fraîche, half of the grated cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano in a bowl. Lightly grease a rectangular baking dish. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) or 180°C (fan). If your oven has a gratin function, use it at approximately 200°C (400°F). Place the slices of toast in the baking dish and top in the following order: ham, pineapple, and cheese slice. 5. Spread the crème fraîche mixture over the slices and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. Sprinkle with a little more or less oregano, depending on your taste.
