Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 bell pepper(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 tbsp oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
- 4 slices of toast
- 20 g butter
- 8 slices of cooked smoked pork (approx. 200g)
- 1 tsp mustard
- e.g. Gouda, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Slice the onion into thin rings. Halve the bell pepper and cut into thin strips. Fry both in oil, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Toast the bread, spread with butter, and arrange the bell pepper and onion mixture on top. Top with smoked pork and spread with mustard. Sprinkle with Gouda cheese. Bake under the preheated grill.
