Tomato and pepper salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 tomatoes, ripe, firm (e.g. vine tomatoes)
  • 2 bell peppers, e.g. green and yellow
  • 2 onions, red
  • 40 ml water
  • 20 ml balsamic vinegar, lighter
  • 20 ml rapeseed oil
  • 2 tsp, leveled sugar
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 2 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • n. B. Salad herbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Clean and wash the tomatoes and bell peppers. Cut the tomatoes into eighths and the bell peppers into strips (not too thick). Peel the onions and slice them into thin wedges. Combine the water, vinegar, mustard, sugar, and salt, then whisk in the oil. Mix the dressing with the tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and salad greens. Let the salad sit for a while, then season again.
