Tomato – Cheese – Sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 slice(s) cheese, melting variety
  • e.g. bacon, ham or meat sausage, diced
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Melt the butter and heat thoroughly. Toast a tablespoon of flour in the butter, stirring continuously. Deglaze with the milk, stirring well, and add the cream cheese. Stir continuously with a whisk to prevent burning and lumps. Melt the slice of cheese in the sauce and continue stirring. Dice the tomatoes and fry briefly in a pan with a little oil, then add to the sauce. Season with pepper. Cook for only about 2 minutes. If desired, add small cubes of bacon, ham, or sausage to the sauce.
