Tomato sauce for pasta

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 can/n tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 large zucchini
  • 4 large tomatoes
  • ½ tube(s) tomato paste
  • 1 stalk of lovage
  • 1 pack of cream
  • 200 ml water
  • oil
  • 1 large onion(s)

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

First, wash and dice the tomatoes and zucchini, then briefly fry them in oil with the chopped onions. Add the canned tomatoes, cover the pot, and bring to a boil. After 5 minutes, add water and the finely chopped lovage. Let everything boil briefly again. Finally, add the cream and puree everything. Then cook for 10 minutes on medium heat. This tomato sauce is perfect for freezing and tastes even better after thawing and reheating. I serve it traditionally with pasta. The flavor of fresh lovage goes wonderfully with the vegetables.
